Anti-women approach: Massive public protest in Pandripani against Women's Protection Bill
Malkangiri (10/5) Pratik Samachar - Women's public protests have been held across the country to protest the Nari Vandana Act introduced in Parliament by the opposition parties. In this regard, a public protest was organized in Pandripani mandal of Malkangiri district today. More than 1000 women joined the rally and first started in a big procession from Pandripani Sishu Mandir and went around the city and burnt effigies of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and opposition leader Naveen Patnaik. Later, everyone joined a meeting organized at Serapali Chack. Opposing the Women's Protection Bill is a sign of low mentality, this injustice done to women in Parliament has curtailed their rights. Therefore, it was said in the meeting that those who created obstacles in the passage of this bill are anti-women. In today's public anger meeting, Malkangiri MLA and District Planning Board Chairman Narasinha Madkami, BJP state executive member Santoshini Patra, MLA Nihar Roy, Saju Sarkar, District BJP Women's Morcha leader Beni Kartulu, Soudamini Acharya, Mamata Mayi Mohanty, Draupadi Patnaik were prominently present and lashed out against the opponents who opposed the Women's Protection Act. The meeting expressed the view that women will definitely give a befitting reply to the opponents opposing the Women's Protection Act in the coming days.
