Malkangiri District Administration's innovative effort to maintain 100 percent cleanliness in offices: Swachhta Warden to be appointed*
Malkangiri(14/5/26) Pratik Samachar - Malkangiri District Administration has taken a reformative and permanent step to strengthen cleanliness, sanitation and proper maintenance system in government offices. As per the strict instructions issued by the District Collector and District Magistrate Pratish Arvind Rajashirke, it has now been made mandatory to appoint an officer-in-charge as Swachhta Warden in every government office in the district. As per the said instructions, this officer, selected by the head of the concerned office, will work as the main nodal officer to ensure cleanliness and daily sanitation of the entire office premises. For the successful implementation of this system at the administrative level, the names, posts and contact numbers of all the wardens selected have been directed to be immediately communicated to the District Collector's Office, so that it can be regularly coordinated and monitored from the district level. The main objective of this special initiative is to create a permanent administrative structure within the government system instead of traditional and temporary cleaning campaigns. By giving the direct responsibility of cleaning to a high-ranking official instead of relying solely on contractual employees, administrative accountability and integrity at the government level will increase significantly. The district administration has clarified that a disciplined administrative environment and a clean environment are the foundation of good services. Keeping government office premises clean will help in providing better and disciplined services to the public. The main intention of this initiative is to set an example for the society by creating an exemplary environment in government offices themselves.
