Memorial temple of Shaheed Laxman Naik inaugurated in Malkangiri
Malkangiri (9/05/26) Pratik Samachar - Today, in the premises of Malkangiri Women's Higher Secondary School and Jagannath Temple in Mathili, under the guidance of Odisha's famous social reformer, world lover Padma Shri Dhole Baba, and under the guidance of Additional District Magistrate of Malkangiri District, General Somnath Pradhan, a memorial temple of the immortal son of Malkangiri land, Shaheed Laxman Nayak, was inaugurated. In this institution, Baba Dhole gave a speech to the people of Odisha to get inspired by the courage, patriotism, sacrifice and dedication of Shaheed Laxman Nayak, and dedicate themselves for the progress of Odisha and India. He further said that by constructing a temple for such immortal sons who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, regular worshipping, and remembering their contributions to the country and educating everyone in it, it can be called a true show of respect for them. Additional District Magistrate Somnath Pradhan highlighted the life and deeds of Sahid Laxman Nayak and expressed his opinion that it is no less than a miracle that such a great man was born in a remote area like Malkangiri! Deb Prasad Das, Editor of Odisha Union of Journalists, also highlighted the siege and shooting of Sahid Laxman Nayak at Mathili police station and said that we, the people of Odisha, are blessed for him. Among others, Dushmant Kumar Jena, Chairman of Women's Higher Secondary School, Sanjib Kumar Panigrahi, Chairman of Satyanarayan College, Shiv Prasadkiriniya, Malkangiri Block President of MUJ, Journalists Manas Ranjan Netam, Bikram Keshari Padhi, Govinda Mandal and Prakash Patnaik, along with all the faculty members and students of the college were present at this institution.
