Minister Ravi Narayan Nayak reviews various development projects in Malkangiri*

An important review meeting was held at the Malkangiri District Council Conference Hall. In this meeting, State Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Ravi Narayan Nayak attended as the chief guest and reviewed the progress of various development projects. Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi, Malkangiri MLA Narasingh Madkami, District Collector Pratesh Arvind Rajeshirke and Chief Development Officer Dasharathi Sarabu were prominently present. In the meeting, the progress of various rural housing schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, PM-Janman, Adarsh Gram Yojana, Biju Pukka Ghar Yojana and New Special Pukka Ghar Yojana were discussed in detail. In addition, the status of projects of Developed Villages, Developed Odisha Yojana, Rural Construction Department and Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department was reviewed. The Minister emphasized on the progress of daily work, employment of workers and meeting the targets of creation of working days in the MRNEGA scheme. On this occasion, Minister Ravi Narayan Nayak directed that all the rural housing schemes, especially the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, PM-Janman should be completed within the stipulated time frame. He emphasized on creating maximum working days in the MRNEGA scheme and employing local workers. He directed the BDOs to ensure that the benefits of each scheme under the Developed Village, Developed Odisha campaign reach the end beneficiaries of the village. He warned against any negligence in maintaining the quality of drinking water and road construction work. He advised the district administration to review the daily progress of the projects. The District Collector also promised that the ongoing development work in the district would be regularly monitored and especially the PM-Janman scheme would be expedited. All the district's video and departmental officers were present in the meeting and gave reports on the progress of their respective areas.
