This day, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, was officially declared as Nursing Day on 12th January 1974 by the International Council of Nurses in honor of her inspiration, sacrifice and service. Which is celebrated till date. Nurses are called the servants of the world because a nurse relieves the suffering of the patient through service. Sometimes she is a sister, sometimes a mother, and sometimes a friend, and sweetly, the patient feels reassured by service. The doctor only checks the body and gives medicine, but the nurse provides real treatment to the patient through her service. The role of nurses is unique. A shining example of which was seen during Covid-19. When everyone was at home, the nurses considered it a credit to serve the patients by risking their lives. This proves that nursing is not just a profession, it is a sacred service. They said to serve the patients by dedicating themselves to "Service is the highest virtue". All the students studying in the college were given a lecture and a pledge was taken, shedding light on how one can become a good nurse and wishing them a bright future. Finally, the students who participated in various competitions and won with their talent were awarded by the guests.
