Ignoring government rules, the mafia illegally extracts sand from the river and stores it in various deserted places near the river and near MV-57 village for safe keeping, but seeing an opportunity, it is being smuggled in the middle of the night through hiwa or tractors. According to information, this sand is being smuggled not only in the local area, but also in various places in the district. While sand is sold for Rs 3,500 to 4,000 per tractor trip in the local area, it is being sold for Rs 5,000 to 5,500 outside the area, so this business is growing. While this explains the mafia's arrogance, locals say that illegal sand mining is having a profound impact on water conservation and the environment. Why the local administration or the revenue department is silent despite such huge corruption has now raised a big question mark in the public. While the state government has made strict rules to protect natural resources, a high-level investigation is needed into the basis on which this transaction is going on.
